(apologies for the average-ness of this. it's been a busy week.) OFF CAMERA: - Chris: “Enough. I don’t want to hear it.” - The scene starts inside a warehouse in god knows where. There is absolutely no hint to where the location is … or who Chris is actually speaking too. However, he seems completely distressed about something. The warehouse is dark and damp looking so it looks like many warehouses that are probably abandoned. He is standing at a wooden table that looks like it would have been a work bench due to the scattered tools across it, shaking his head and looking down. It seems that somebody is telling him something but nobody else can be seen or heard. - Chris: “Don’t you mention her name. There isn’t a way you could have possibility spoken to her so stop trying to get into my head.” - It wouldn’t take a genius to work out now that whoever Chris is speaking too isn’t actually there. It was easy to see that he was falling into a deeper state of schizophrenia as every day went by … or so it would seem from somebody who didn’t know the situation. He hadn’t been right ever since Raegan was killed in that car accident. It started with attempting to kill himself before disappearing completely when that didn’t work. The only time anybody ever found him anymore was when he allowed them too. - Chris: “I don’t believe you. I don’t believe that you can speak to the dead. I don’t believe you are even real … just something lingering around in my messed up fucking mind.” - It was about a year ago that the voices started. It was something out of a horror movie, or so Chris thought it was at first, but quickly realised whatever it was in his head wasn’t out to cause him trouble. He had originally thought a demon had taken advantage of him so he had gone to get rid of it … at a church. He had then been told that there was no demon inside him but what seemed to be an angel. The priest had told Chris that this angel had emotional attachment to him and told him an old story of what happened to the souls of unborn children. - It was a few days later that he had found his late love had been pregnant. Raegan had made him a different person … he wasn’t always the way he was now. It was hard to believe that the soul of his unborn child was inside him, trying to help him find salvation and get his life back on track. He had left the church that day, thinking that the priest was insane, but no matter what he said or did, the voices were always in his head and he always felt like somebody was never to him. However, he refused to listen to what the voice told him because he didn’t want be happy without Raegan, and he didn’t want to accept what had happened to his unborn child. - ON CAMERA: - “I bet you’re excited … feeling on top of the world … I bet your sensei or whatever the fuck you bow too gave you a nice pat on the head. It’s always nice to win your debut match; which is what last week was for you as far as I’m concerned. I’m not interested in what you’ve done in other places so you had a successful debut last week. - It’s better than what I produced in my first match. I got kicked in the nuts and hit with the Crimson Rain in my first match, several moons ago. So congratulations for getting a win under your belt, because it’s going to be what spurs you forward when you lose to me at this next show. It’s not a negative to lose to a main event quality star so I hope your head doesn’t completely drop down … or it could and I would probably just forget who you even were. - The fact is that last week was a gift wrapped win for you. It’s a common thing for a debuting wrestling to get put into a match against a cellar dweller so they get a simple win first up. You were put up against a character from a television show … somebody lacking creativity to the point they didn’t even change the name of the character in question, and possibly put SCW in danger of legal action from Warner Brothers at the same time. - Me? I haven’t been on my best behaviour. I was disinterested in my last match after SCW probably felt like they were doing well by me by placing me in their main event against Eric Herrara. I’m more than happy to show up and face a random in their second match for a pay cheque. It’s probably where I’ll linger for awhile until I get my act together … but know that I’m going to make it impossible for move any further up the food chain here. You might have drive and passion to make it, whilst I really could care less whether I do or not, but I’ve already made it and I never had drive or passion for it.” - It’s sad but true because Chris didn’t have the passion and drive of most of the people he fought … probably why he lost against main event level guys who lived and breathed the sport. He just knew he didn’t need to give a shit to push aside somebody that he hadn’t heard off. He had the capability to completely ruin this person’s confidence. He smirks as he gets ready to continue … - ”I am the best performer in this company; performer not wrestler. I don’t want people to take that the wrong way, and start crying about it. SCW should never have let me return on anything more than a week by week contract but they know the risk is outweighed by the reward. They know I can enter the ring and make anybody look good … I did it with Eric Herrara a few weeks ago. The crowds will flock to their seats when I enter the arena because they know what kind of match they are going to get … a face paced match where somebodies career could very well end. I am the guy who doesn’t think about the risks when I make the decision to jump off the top turnbuckle to the announcers table just because I think it would look cool in a blog later. I am an elite highlight reel, and I steal every show that I come to perform in. - So I have a plan now and that is to chase after the SCW World Championship. I know those were words that Brian Kennedy didn’t want to hear … but we have to listen to him when we don’t want to so it evens itself out. This company lacks an identity with somebody like Brian Kennedy as champion. He is nothing more than your typical, arrogant brute and we need a change from that. SCW needs to take a risk and what better a risk than their illustrious title being around the waist of its most controversial superstar? I can’t think of anything better than it. I love to think about the reaction of the SCW faithful when their title is around the waist of a guy who could disappear at any second. I love to think about the money that holding the title could put in my back pocket … and I just love thinking about how pissed off Kennedy would be when he realised exactly what had happened to him. - Don’t think I’ve forgotten about you but know that I’m looking past you. Why wouldn’t I look past somebody bound to be lurking around the mid card her entire career? - Click. |

Around four in the afternoon, the silence of the Gettysburg Drive neighborhood was shattered by a roaring engine. Sylvania, Ohio, a suburb of Toledo, was the location of the stateside home of one of SCW’s newest contract stars. The Scion FRS turned sideways as Urakih drifted around the corner. She shifted down, stalling the engine as she tilted the steering wheel, swerving into her driveway. She powered the engine down and opened the door. A few of her neighbors had been watching and they waved to her as she reached in the passenger seat, removing her gym bag. She smiled and waved back, but didn’t speak. She stood, looking up at the house. 4562, Gettysburg Drive, Sylvania, Ohio 43560. Home, she thought to herself. Home in America, anyway. She looked at her yard; she had stopped paying the service fee for it to be maintained and the lawn needed mowing. She’d do that soon, maybe the following day. The porch needed painting, something else she could do herself. Looking at one of the second floor windows, she saw it was shattered. Most likely a byproduct of the recent storms. She had some repairs to make. In the next day or so, her luggage shipment would be arriving, and in the meantime, she could fix the house up. She walked up the stairs, stopping at the door. Using the key, she unlocked and opened the door. ***************** Two years. It had been two years since she had last lived in this house. Now that she was working in America again, she would move back in. over the last two days, she had been fixing the place up, making menial repairs. The plumbing needed fixing, so she had a neighbor help her. The window she bought and installed on her own. As Urakih was preparing to mow the lawn, two teenage boys descended on her, flirting with the twenty six year old woman, who, while ten years older than them, looked to be only a few years older. Boy 1: Hey, baby. I haven’t seen you around here before. Urakih: Is that so? Boy 2: Yeah, you new in the area? Urakih: Not really, no. I’ve lived here before. Boy 1: You wouldn’t happen to have a boyfriend, would you? Urakih tilted her head. She had forgotten how forward Americans could be, sometimes. Urakih: How old are you? Boy 1: 17, babe. Boy 2: 15. Urakih laughs for a moment before considering both of them for a moment. Touching her lip, she smiled seductively. The boys smiled at her, not knowing she already owned them. Urakih: I tell you what, boys. Mow my lawn, and then, I’ll answer that question for you…in the most…prurient of ways. Three hours later, Urakih was stepping out of her shower, a towel wrapped around her. The two teenagers were still lying in the bed, dazed. She laughed and pulled the sheets off of them. Urakih: Come now. I thought you young American boys were known for being vigorous at sekkusu? The seventeen year old, named Brian, sat up, smiling. Brian: Come over here and I’ll show you how vigorous I can be, Urakih… Urakih laughed now, knowing he was trying to be funny, but at the same time, knowing he fully wanted her again. Leaning over and kissing his forehead, she whispered. Urakih: I’ll see you later tonight… Both guys showered one after the other and then headed home. Urakih watched them leave slipped Brian her phone number as they left. She gave both of the boys a thousand dollars, not understanding that it was a very large amount of money. While the younger guy, Luke, had kept the full sum, Brian had counted it and placed nine hundred dollars under her pillow. She smiled. He was different that the other guy, for sure. With all of her chores done, she settled down for the evening. It was five PM, so it was a good time to begin settling. At 6PM flat, her phone rang. She answered it, already knowing who it was. Caller: Urakih. Urakih: Master. Caller: You did well at Slammed On Memorial Day. Urakih: Your words are kind, master, but she presented no challenge for one such as myself. Caller: That is true. You are one of my best. Urakih: Thank you, Master. Caller: Your next match, it won’t be as easy. Chris Malceski is of a different caliber than Hailey Scott. Urakih: Yes, and I look forward to it. Caller: Good. Silence… Caller: Urakih? Urakih: Yes, master? Caller: Take it easy on the teenagers. Urakih smiled as she ended the call. Her master knew her very well. Then, her smile faded. Chris Malceski…she needed to find out about him. And so, she spent the evening doing that. To be continued… |

Scene opens by playing a seven year old video package. Chris begins to fight back, he pushes Trevor away and grabs him quickly and hits him with a T-Bone Suplex, Chris stands up and plays to the crowd, Jonny is going mental behind the Announcers Table, Chris walks over to the other side of the ring and jumps up to the Top Rope, he stands there for a second and taunts, then launches himself off… DEVIL SPLASH, Chris hits it, Chris rolls away for a second before rolling back and hooking Trevor’s Leg… One… Two… Three… Chris has done it, he’s beaten Trevor B here. Toni Marcos: Here is your Winner… CHRIS MALCESKI. The feed fades. Then, it shows a more recent video. Finally Cash manages to block one of Chris’ chops and he swiftly thumbs him in the right eye! The crowd boos, disapproving Cash’ dirty tactics, but the so called Satan's Bounty Hunter doesn’t care. The referee gives Cash a warning, but he pushes him away and hits Chris with jumping DDT. 1...2...kickout. Allie: Cash is looking to end this match quickly and with dirty tactics. Wayne: With everything these guys have said over the last few weeks, you expect them to win cleanly? If I was Chris I would have been ready for everything in the book that wasn’t legal. Cash then starts pounding away on Chris’ forehead with hammering shots. Cash stops when once again the referee bugs him to wrestle cleanly. Cash then does a vintage Garvin stomp, attacking every area of Chris’ body. He then goes for the cover but only gets a 2 count. We see Cash showing a little bit of frustration. He then helps Chris on his feet and slaps him a few times but Chris respond with a slap of his own. Uh oh, Chris is going for a comeback as he hits haymakers after haymakers. He then does his signature spinning wheel kick, right on Cash's jaw! Cash slowly gets up and eats another spinning wheel kick! Chris then gets Cash up himself and then hits him with the spinning ddt! It’s over kids! Chris pins Cash. 1.. 2.. kick out! What! Cash kicks out of the move! Chris just shakes his head before he yells that he’s going to fly. The crowd gives him a mixed reaction as Chris gathers his wits and heads to the top. He steadies himself, but before he lifts off, Cash (with great speed), runs to where Chris is and grapples him! Allie: Chris was finally getting his head in this match, but this can’t be good. Uh oh, overhead belly to belly suplex from the top rope! The crowd is going bananas, impressed by the showing of these two. Cash crawls his way to the barely conscious Chris Malceski and covers him. 1….. 2….. 3!! The bell rings as Cash rolls off of Malceski. Anne: Your winner….Cash Allan! ******* Now, the live camera shows the subject. Adatu Urakih, one of SCW’s newest wrestlers. It was nearing midnight as she sat in a hammock chair in her backyard, looking up at the stars. She begins speaking shortly. Urakih: You know, the most inescapable fate known to man is that of time. Over time, things change. Christopher Malceski. Seven years ago, you were a hot commodity to the wrestling world. You were running around winning matches and making your legacy even bigger. Admirable. I’m sure you remember that guy in the first clip. After all, my research says you defeated him to win your very first championship in wrestling. Feels good, doesn’t it? Winning championships, making a name for yourself, kicking ass all over the world. Yeah, I remember that. I remember being a rookie and knowing what it feels like to rise through the ranks and make a name for myself. Adatu fell silent. She pulled from a table several old newspaper and electronic articles. They showed a familiar photo and some of them were missing person reports. Urakih: But eventually, the strain of being a world wrestling star is too much for some people. The walls come crashing down around them and they can’t take it anymore. Some people simply quit. Others begin using drugs and performance. And then…there are those who fall into a pit of despair so deep, they run and hide. What happened, Chris? What made you so afraid of the world that made you a star? Why did you run and hide? (Pause) Actually…I don’t care. I don’t give a damn about your past, or the demons you may or may not still have. What I care about is the here and now. Hey camera guy, show them that window I mentioned. The camera turned to a first floor window and then back to Urakih. She shifted in the hanging hammock chair. Urakih: That room? It’s full of pictures, award, medals, and certified replica championships…all the things I have earned in my career. But, I’m out here, away from that. Why? Because the past is the past. I’m here to talk about now, and the future. Urakih stands up, hopping down from the hammock chair. The camera follows her as she steps off the back porch and begins walking toward her garage. Urakih: You’re thinking about the future, too, I see. Already making plans to dethrone Brian Kennedy as SCW World Champion. You know why I like being the dark horse? The new girl on the block? Because…it’s easy to slip in and beat the hell out of someone who overlooks you, when they know nothing about you. Hailey Scott thought I was a lightweight. She didn’t take me serious, OR take the time to find out who I am. That two bit bitch didn’t even touch me ten times. I hope I have everyone’s attention now, but realistically, all I am seen as right now is just the new girl who beat some jobber. You, Malceski…you’ll be a tougher challenge. Or…will you? A few months back, as seen in the second clip, you lost to one Cash Allan. What I’m getting at is simple. You’re thinking past me without justification. I’m fresh off a debut win, and you’re back in from a few months away after a losing streak. Heading in, I’ve got the momentum. Throw in the fact that you know zip about me…well, let’s just say you should stop thinking about Brian Kennedy, and look a little closer. Too many people, while walking down this road…they’re too focused on the mountain up ahead. All it takes is a little crack in the sidewalk, and you trip and fall, and that mountain, so to say, is out of your reach. Brian Kennedy is your mountain, Malceski, and I am that crack in the sidewalk. Chris Malceski…watch your fucking step. The scene slowly fades now, camera turning upward toward the moon. |
