Previous SCW stars are briefly shown, followed by current stars. Next, every champion in SCW history was shown, starting with Brian Brewster and Cam Davitt as SCW Tag Team Champions, The Ryders as SCW Tag Team Champions, Cam Davitt and Lynn Brewster as SCW Tag Team Champions, Jesse Owusu as SCW North American Champion, Lucius Tendonin during his first reign as SCW North American Champion, Stefanos Los Rios as SCW North American Champion, Jacina as SCW North American Champion, Lucius Tendonin during his second reign as SCW North American Champion, Macy Kane as SCW North American Champion. Lucius Tendonin as SCW Alternative Champion, Jessica Tendonin in her first reign as SCW Alternative Champion, Priest in his first reign as SCW Alternative Champion, Jessica Tendonin in her second reign as SCW Alternative Champion, Requiem as SCW Alternative Champion, Adatu Urakih as SCW Alternative Champion, Priest in his second reign as SCW Alternative Champion, Neela Shizeguma as SCW World Champion, Brian Kennedy as SCW World Champion, Brian Brewster as SCW World Champion, and lastly, Paige Lewis as the SCW World Heavyweight Champion. The SCW Commentary Team is shown now, Allie Queen and Wayne Miller. Allie: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to SCW's 38th edition of Overdrive! Wayne: Final stop before Summer Smash! Tonight Allie: We know of at least one match that is happening at Summer Smash, and that is with Paige Lewis defending the SCW North American Championship. So far, though, we haven't heard anything about an opponent for her World Heavyweight Championship. Perhaps tonight, we'll find that out. Wayne: We've got an Alternative Championship match tonight, but depending on the outcome, we could be seeing a new champion at Summer Smash! And shortly before we went on the air tonight, Brian Kennedy was named the Number 2 to the Alternative Championship! Allie: There are also rumblings of a Tag Team Championship match at Summer Smash, be no details of who is competing. Wayne: Going into tonight, we have a lot of unanswered questions for the pay per view. Perhaps tonight, we'll get answers. |

Anne: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from The Heart of Darkness...The Ronin, Cade Corso! The arena goes black. Deth Red Moon by Danzig blasts out of the speakers... Long are the twisted vines Growing and gnarled inside A blood red harvest moon appears on the tron and mist rises from the floor of the entry way... Look and you'll find that they never die Long are the twisted vines Japanese kanji in black coalesce on the moons face and then resolve into the word RONIN... Deth red moon going down Deth red moon burning down Cade Corso steps through the mist, carrying his trademark kendo stick... Deth red moon going down Deth red moon burning down Clouds sweep across the moon on the tron, wiping the kanji away. Corso raises his arms with the kendo stick held between them, lowers them, and walks slowly toward the ring... Cold is the wailing night Gone are the tranquil skies Look 'round, you'll see all the longing eyes Cold is the wailing night The crowd pops. Corso is laser focused on his destination... "From the Heart of Darkness, weighing in at 205 lbs. "The Ronin" Cade Corso!!!" Deth red moon going down Deth red moon burning down Deth red moon going down Deth red moon burning down Corso climbs the steps and vaults over the top rope into shoulder roll. He lands on his knees with the kendo stick in front of him. He bows to the north side of the ring, then the west side, then the south side, and finally the east side... And there is no escaping From this hell it's making And there is no escaping now Blood red streamers fly into the ring from all directions. Corso raises his arms and accepts the respect from the crowd... Deth red moon going down Deth red moon burning down Deth red moon going down Deth red moon burning down Corso stands and moves to a neutral corner. He leans his kendo stick to against the ring post on the apron and bows to it. He then turns a faces the center of the ring. Anne Carpenter: And his opponent, Jacina! The fans cheer and clap in rhythm in unison as the lights in the arena go out. Then TNT by AC/DC blares through the PA system as the multicolored lights pulsate along with the music. Then the music stops, the lights stop, and the arena goes dark for a moment. Then the music and the lights begin again with the multicolor lights pulsating to the music. Jacina slowly comes through the curtains, the fans erupt with cheers. Jacina bends down on her knees, opens her arms wide as she absorbs the fans adulation. The bell rings and the match gets started. Allie: Corso had an impressive, albeit swift, debut on the last Overdrive. Wayne: Agreed. Tonight, however, he takes on Jacina, the number one contender for the North American Championship. Jacina and Corso locked up in the center of the ring, and Jacina was shoved backwards. Allie: Show of strength from Corso there. Before Jacina can get back up, Corso is on her with a kick to the head. Jacina goes down again, but Corso grabbed her by the hair, pulling her to her feet. Corso sent her down with a kick to the head. Allie: Corso is ravaging Jacina right now. Corso rolled Jacina over, locking in the Ninth Gate. Jacina began struggling, but Corso had it locked in and there was nowhere for her to go. After about a moment of struggling, Jacina tapped and the referee called for the bell. Corso released the hold and stood up, standing over the groaning Jacina as Deth Red Moon began playing. Wayne: And again, Corso makes quick work of an opponent. Allie: Very impressive second match from Cade Corso. If he keeps this up, he could find himself in contention soon. Anne: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner, The Ronin, Cade Corso! WINNER: CADE CORSO |

We’re backstage and at the door to a locker room. The door is slightly open and so we go in to hear someone singing along to an ipod. Finally Emily Desmond comes out to get her boots on before she starts to warm up. However sitting on the bench is a gorgeous flower arrangement. Emily looks around and finds no one. She looks at the card. Good luck. You’ll do great. The card is unsigned, but they are pale pink roses, her favorite. But Emily is suddenly comes across as nervous. Emily: Look Fletcher if you’re here, I will let you know AFTER this show about what you offered. A figure hiding in the corner comes out. Mr. Fletcher appears, dressed in grays (dark gray suit with light, nearly silver, shirt). Mr. Fletcher: I thought maybe you had given it some thought. Emily: I have, but nagging me to death isn’t going to help. I’ll let you know soon. Mr. Fletcher: We just want you to follow what’s your destiny. Emily: Well if THAT is your logic then you lose. I am following my destiny. Both my mom and dad were wrestlers. Mr. Fletcher: I’m not talking about Lynn but….. Emily’s fists clench into a closed position. Emily: We’re not starting THAT. Now go! MR. Fletcher chuckles, but heads towards the door. Mr. Fletcher: I hope you decide soon. He exits and Emily sits down on the bench, to both collect her thoughts and to put on her boots. She notices the flowers just as a knock is at the door. She picks up the vase. Emily: I told you….when I’m ready! The door opens just as Emily throws the vase and it nearly hits Sean Foster in the head. Instead it hits the wall, then the floor, and shatters into pieces. Sean looks down at it and at a very upset Emily Desmond. Sean: I just came to see if you got the flowers I sent. I guess….you don’t like them. Emily stands up and walks over to Sean. She places her hand on his shoulder, which gets him to look up and smile. Emily: I’m sorry. I thought there were from….a deranged fan. Forgive me. Now what do you want? Sean: Just wanted to see how you’re doing. I mean this is a huge match for you. Emily: How am I feeling? I’m excited, nervous, confident, and a dozen other emotions I can’t even express. Sean: So are you ready? Emily: As ready as I’ll be. Tonight is the main event, something I could only dream of. And not only am I in the main event, even better is that I’m in it for the Alternative title. The last couple weeks I have tried dragging a response of him and then just a couple days ago he finally answered and he almost acknowledge that I’m in this match. That confidence he has is what will be his undoing. Now if you don’t mind, I have to get ready for that match. Sean nods and backs up closing the door behind him. Meanwhile Emily takes a seat and tries to calm her nerves. The last thing she can do is show fear. She’s not afraid of Priest, but know tonight is huge for her career and she knows it. |

Anne Carpenter: This next match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, Gabriel Tuck! "Iron Wolf" by Beastwars begins playing as Gabriel Tuck walks out with a wide smile in his black leather jacket, white wifebeater, and dark jeans. He walks down to a mixed reaction from the fans that seem to lean more towards cheering and the chanting of "Jug-ga-lo!" Anne Carpenter: Introducing his opponent, from Canton, Ohio, he is the Living Legend, and a former SCW World Champion...Brian Kennedy! Brian walks off towards the entrance ramp. Eulogy by Tool hits the P.A. system. As the rhythm picks up after around a minute of music plays and the words start to work its way through the arena the lights cut out and a spotlight shines at the top of the ramp. Brian is seen standing there with a smile, in his hand is a 20 lb sledge hammer. He had alot to say. He had alot of nothing to say. (We'll miss him. 2x) He had alot to say. He had alot of nothing to say. (We'll miss him. 2x) (We're gonna miss him. 2x) So loooooong! Fire shoots out from the stage. Smoke rises from the stage as he starts to walk toward the ring. He stops about Halfway to the ring as he flexes in front of the camera kissing his sledge hammer. He smirks into the camera yelling snide remarks. We wish you well. You told us how you weren't afraid to die. Well so looooooong. Don't cryyyyy. Or feel too down. Not all martyrs see divinity. But at least you tried. He climbs up the steps and turns toward the crowd and taunts them by flipping them off and girls scream his name. He stops and turns back towards the crowd and jumps over the top rope and stands in the middle of the ring, he looks around and drops the sledge hammer and flexes as the flashes flow throughout the arena. Standing above the crowd he had a voice that was strong and loud. (We'll miss him. 2x) Ranting and pointing his finger at everything but his heart. (We'll miss him. 2x) (We're gonna miss him. 2x) No wayyyyyy to recall what it was that you had said to me, like I care at alll. But he was sooo louuud. You sure could yell. You took a stand on every little thing and soooo louuuuuuuuud. You, could be, the one, who saves, me from, my own, existence. He climbs all the turnbuckles yet again doing a pose with his arms spread out wide from each one as the music fades.. He walks over to the middle of the ring. He smirks as the crowd chants things such as "Empire rules" and "Brian is Back." Wayne Miller: Tuck and Kennedy are polar opposites in most aspects, but in some, they are alike. Allie Queen: Both are ruthless when going after what they want. The bell rings and the two men meet in the center of the ring, shoving each other back and forth. Kennedy gained the upperhand and knocked Tuck on his ass, but Tuck rolled out of the way of a kick from Kennedy. Allie Queen: Tuck came out on the losing end at the last Overdrive, and tonight, he looks to make it up. If he can stay away from some of Kennedy’s more powerful attacks, he could pick up the win here. Wayne Miller: As we mentioned earlier in the broadcast, it’s been announced that Brian Kennedy is the number two contender for the Alternative Championship. Tuck was the last person to challenge for the belt. Both Emily Desmond and Priest are probably watching this match from the back, because one of them will be seeing Kennedy soon. Both men back on their feet, Tuck charged at Kennedy with an Uppercut that sent the former champion staggering backwards. Tuck began throwing lefts and rights, knocking Kennedy back into the corner. Tuck continued laying into Kennedy, and when he backed off a moment later, he made a gesture to the crowd. Wayne Miller: Really taking it to Kennedy, but Tuck needs to press his advantage. Allie Queen: I agree. Keep up the pressure and secure the win. Kennedy shot out of the corner, taking Tuck down with a Reverse DDT. Kennedy rolled Tuck over and pulled him to his feet. Tuck ducked a Clothesline from Kennedy, but Kennedy grabbed Tuck, pulling him back and taking him up for a Gorilla Press Slam. Kennedy rolled Tuck up for a pin. 1……...2……...Kickout! Allie Queen: Kennedy building up steam and going for a quick pin, but Tuck kicks out at two. Wayne Miller: Both men are looking to take control of the match, but so far, it’s going back and forth. Tuck was on his knees, and he ducked an Enziguri from Kennedy. Kennedy rolled to his feet, and Tuck charged at him, sending them both tumbling over the top rope. On the outside, they began brawling near the barricades. 1……...2……...3……... Wayne Miller: Fighting on the outside, they need to be mindful of the count. Tuck had Kennedy against the barricade and was pummelling him. 4……...5……...6……... Kennedy shoved Tuck backwards and tackled him to the ground, mounting him and continuing to pound away. Allie Queen: They had better watch it! Getting very close to ten! Tuck guarded his head and then caught Kennedy’s jaw, hard, making him reel backwards in a daze. 7……...8……...9……... Both men suddenly became aware of the count, and began scrambling toward the ring. Kennedy pulled Tuck back and dropped him into a DDT. Kennedy then dashed toward the ring. 10! Kennedy hadn’t made it into the ring. The bell was rang. The referee leaned over the ropes, talking to the announcer. Anne Carpenter: Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this match as a result of a double countout! Therefore, this match has been declared a double disqualification! Allie Queen: This is always a risk when you go outside the ring. Wayne Miller: I don’t think this is going to be the last time these two see each other. WINNER: Double Countout |

Cassie: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled as an I Quit Match, and will only end after one of the competitors has declared that they quit, and it is for the SCW Alternative Championship! Introducing first, from New York City, Emily Desmond! Lights go out as Just a Girl by No Doubt begins to play. Also smoke fills the ramp, lit by red and green lights. Emily Desmond appears, her dark hair pulled back in a loose ponytail and dressed with tights that are a mix of red and green on black, a shirt that is either solid red or green, and a black leather coat. She seems focused on the ring and crawls in. Cassie: And her opponent, he is the reigning SCW Alternative Champion, Priest! Passive by A Perfect Circle hits the PA system. As Priest steps onto the stage with his Alternative Championship over his shoulder, the crowd gives him a mixed reaction. Stopping in the middle of the ramp, Priest glares into the crowd with a sinister smile. As the opening guitar riffs start to kick in, the lights in the arena flicker on and off as flaming pyro’s go off. After a couple seconds, Priest twist his neck to crack his spine and heads down the ramp. Once he gets to the ring, he removes his black sunglasses and taunts tossing them into the crowd, but doesn't. He sees a child walks over to him, and acts like he's going to give it to him. But instead of giving them to the child, he drops them to the floor and stomps on them as he laughs and rolls into the ring, ready for action. Wayne Miller: Main event time, ladies and gentlemen. Allie Queen: The coveted SCW Alternative Championship is on the line. That championship has some impressive lineage here in SCW. From the first champion, Lucius Tendonin, to his wife, Jessica, then Priest, then Jessica again, then Requiem, then Ryder Urakih, and then Priest again. Five different people have held it under the SCW banner. Tonight, we might see a sixth. Wayne Miller: I’ll tell you one thing for sure; Emily Desmond is VERY focused on leaving with the Alternative Championship, as we saw leading up to this match. Priest has held onto that Alternative Championship by a thread since Reunion. He successfully defended it against Gabriel Tuck at Spring Meltdown, but tonight, he faces a whole new challenge. As the bell rang, the crowd began chanting. Priest grinned and began walking toward Emily. Suddenly, the lights went out and Cat Scratch Fever by Pantera hit the PA system, sending the crowd into a frenzy. Allie Queen: What the hell?! Is this for real? Wayne Miller: We might need to pull up another chair! The music died down and the lights came back on. Priest is laid out, bloodied. Emily is holding a pink baseball bat. Wayne Miller: What the fuck just happened?! Allie Queen: I don’t think it takes that much imagination. Emily smiled before she menacingly began circling Priest’s body. A moment later, he began stirring. As he got to one knee, Emily swung the bat, sweeping his leg from under him, sending him back down to the mat. Priest screamed out in pain and the referee asked if he wanted to quit. Priest shook his head no. Getting to his feet, he charged at Emily, who jabbed him in the gut with the bat. Wayne Miller: Desmond using that baseball bat with precision, and there are no disqualifications in this I Quit Match. Allie Queen: Priest has gotta be regretting this match type right about now. While Priest is doubled over, Emily drops the bat and rebounds off the ropes, taking Priest down with a Bulldog. Priest rolled over and shook his head no when asked if he wanted to quit. Emily kicked Priest, but he got to his feet quickly. Emily went for a Pele Kick, but Priest grabbed her by the ankle and spun her around, releasing her, and sending her flying through the ropes to the outside. Wayne Miller: It looks like Desmond planned to use the guise of Lynn Brewster coming out to attack Priest with the baseball bat, but he’s finding his footing here, now that she doesn’t have the bat. Allie Queen: It’s a hell of a strategy, but while some damage has obviously been done with the bat, Priest still has some fight left in him as we see from that huge display of strength. Priest rolled out of the ring to where Emily was pulling herself up near the commentary desk. Priest grabbed Emily by the throat and looked as if he was going for a Priest Slam, but instead, he shoved her into the ring apron. Emily shook her head no as the referee approached her. Priest charged at her, going for a Big Boot type kick, but Emily dodged him. Emily climbed onto the apron and went for a Missile Dropkick, but Priest dodged it. Allie Queen: They are really going at it now. Wayne Miller: Desmond using her agility to try and stay one step ahead of Priest. The bloodied champion grabbed Emily and shoved her face first into the ringpost, busting her open. The crowd popped as Priest then slammed her into the post again, widening the cut in her forehead. Emily shook her head again when the referee asked if she wanted to quit. Priest grabbed her by the throat, and took her up for a Priest Slam, sending her plummeting to the mat. Allie Queen: So much blood. Wayne Miller: Oh hush. This is beginning to have a Pay Per View feel. Priest dragged Emily into the ring before rolling back out to grab a steel chair. Getting back in the ring, Priest approached Emily with the chair. Emily grabbed the baseball bat and swung it into Priest’s nether region, making him drop to his knees in pain. Emily took the chair and set it up. She pulled Priest to his feet and then took him up, going for the Hell Awaits. The crowd popped as she nailed it. Allie Queen: Desmond exhibiting some strong style there. Wayne Miller: Tell it like it is; she’s beating the shit out of him, and he’s trying to keep up. Emily picked up the bat again, and pulled a lighter from her pocket, setting it on fire. As Priest slowly stirred, she began advancing on him. The referee asked he wanted to quit. Then, Priest saw Emily making way towards him. Priest nodded yes and began scrambling away. The referee called for the bell. Allie Queen: That’s it! We’ve got a new champion! Wayne Miller: The threat of violence can be just as effective as actual violence! Cassie: Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has called a stop to this contest as a result of Priest quitting. As a result, the winner of this match...and the new SCW Alternative Champion...Emily Desmond! Just a Girl by No Doubt begins playing through the arena as the referee hands Emily the SCW Alternative Championship. Emily Desmond holds the belt up in one hand and the flaming pink bat in the other. Suddenly, her music stops and is replaced by Party Monster by The Weeknd, and the crowd begins screaming. Wayne Miller: Oh hell! What does she want? Allie Queen: Former two time champion, incoming! Jessica Tendonin walked out onto the stage and after standing there a moment, began making her way to the ring. Once in the ring, she gestured for her music to stop and someone tossed her a microphone. Jessica: First of all, congratulations, Emily. On your accomplishment, and for exposing Priest, yet again, for the piece of trash I’ve been telling people that he is, for nearly five damn years. Priest, get the hell out of this ring before I borrow Emily’s bat. Priest stood up and made the cut throat gesture and the lights went out, followed by a gong. A few seconds later, the lights came on and Priest was gone. Jessica: Now that that is taken care of, I have an announcement, of sorts, to make. Given my extensive expertise in the Alternative Division, and with the championship itself. Mr. Walker has decided that I, Jessica Natalia Tendonin, will be...the NEW Alternative Championship Ambassador! In this role, I am in charge of the division, and will have match making authority. I will not, however, be allowed to compete in the division. So...with that in mind, I have but one question, Emily. I am allowing Priest a rematch at Summer Smash, and as is tradition with the Alternative Championship, the champion chooses the match. What kind of match would you like. Emily: You know, I’ve been thinking about that for days now...and after this match tonight, there is really only one match that makes sense. So Priest, I know your ass is back there listening somewhere, so hear this. When you try and fail to take this back, it will be...in a Street Fight! Jessica: There you have it ladies and gentlemen. WINNER: EMILY DESMOND NEW SCW ALTERNATIVE CHAMPION |

Anne Carpenter: Ladies and gentlemen...please welcome, the owner of the SCW, Terel Walker! "Fuck Being On Some Chill Shit!" 0 to 100 by Drake hit the PA system and the crowd popped. A moment later, Terel Walker came out on stage, grinning. He wore a dark blue suit with a gray tie as he began walking down the ramp. Allie: And here comes the ranking official for the SCW. Wayne: I still say he should hire more strippers. Reaching the ring, Mr. Walker climbed the steps slowly as the fans applauded happily. Inside the ring, his music died down and someone threw him a microphone. Mr. Walker: I think we all know what I’m out here to talk about. Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve seen two superstars really having it out for each other. Getting involved in each others matches, and at one point, one of them arguably cost the other a match, though it is arguable whether that person could have beaten their opponent, anyway. I’m of course talking about this rivalry developing between Paige Lewis and Jacina. So, let’s get them both out here. Jacina, come on out here. Mr. Walker: Jacina, thank you for coming back down here after your match. First of all, I want to make it clear, I’m not bringing you down here to punish you. That said, I want an answer for why you have been getting involved in Paige Lewis’ matches over the last few weeks. Jacina: Well, ya see, Terel, it’s very simple. Paige runs around thinking she is the best thing going in this company, but the fact of the matter is, I’m much better than she is. And when I finally get my hands on her, I’m going to- The crowd exploded as Sail by AWOLNATION hit the PA system. After a few seconds, Lewis walked out onto the stage wearing a Jack Harkness style greatcoat and dark shades, her North American Championship over one shoulder, and the her SCW World Heavyweight Championship over the other. James and Kennedy Ryder flanked the dual champion. Standing on the stage soaking in the thunderous applause, Lewis nodded and smiled before making her way down the ramp, the Ryders at her sides. Allie: At the last Overdrive, we speculated on whether this was a permanent alliance, and I think we have our answer here! Lewis reached the ring, and the Ryders held the ropes open for her as she climbed into the ring. Lewis climbed a turnbuckle and lifted both belts into the air, getting a massive pop from the crowd as she did so. She stepped back down to the mat as her music died and James handed her a mic. Paige: You know, I’ve got these new hearing aides, and while it’s inaccurate to say I was sitting back there and heard you spouting off, I did notice. I notice you can’t build up two consecutive wins to rub together, and you’re standing here, in the middle of this ring, claiming to be better than me?! Perhaps it has escaped your notice, but I am undefeated. I’m also the North American Champion. I’m also the SCW World Heavyweight Champion. So, when you come out here, and say you are better than me...I beg of you...where is the proof? Jacina: You’re just getting ahead by having slept with Jordan, and now, probably Terel, too. Lewis took a step toward Jacina, but Mr. Walker stepped forward at this point, speaking up. Mr. Walker: Okay, that’s about enough of that. You know, I wonder why, in the year 2017, we’re still accusing people of using sexual favors to get ahead. But, that’s neither here nor there. You two have a lot of animosity, and at Summer Smash, I want to make sure you get it all out of your system. So, for that reason...Paige Lewis...you will be defending the North American Championship against Jacina...in a Hell in a Cell match! The crowd popped, and Jacina nodded Paige: Oh, you like that, Jacina? And Mr. Walker, sir, you want to up the ante, let’s do it right! I’m not defending the North American Championship in a Hell in a Cell match. Lewis first laid the North American belt at her feet. Then, with a shocked gasp running through the crowd, she laid down the SCW World Heavyweight Championship, as well. Paige: I’m defending both of MY championships in a Hell in a Cell. Is that enough Hype for you, boss? Mr. Walker: Are you sure you want to wager your world title? If you lose, you lose both titles, but only get a rematch for the North American Championship, since that is the original booking. Paige: I have no doubt that will be at Overdrive 39, still the reigning SCW North American and World Heavyweight Champion, Mr. Walker. Book the match! Mr. Walker: Well, let's make this official, then! At SCW’s Summer Smash 2017, Paige Lewis will defend both the SCW North American Championship and SCW World Heavyweight Championship, in a Hell in a Cell match! The show went off the air with Lewis and Jacina having a stare down. |
